Jersey City marks one year since deadly attack on kosher market

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (WCBS 880) — Jersey City is pausing Thursday to mark one year since a bias attack killed a police officer and three people in a kosher market.
A wreath-laying ceremony will honor Jersey City Police Det. Joseph Seals at Bayview Cemetery, where he was shot and killed on Dec. 10, 2019 during a chance meeting with assailants David Anderson and Francine Graham.
…”I think it was on top of mind for a lot of Americans about what was happening with anti-Semitism and the re-rise of anti-Semitism in this country,” said Evan Bernstein who heads CSS, a Jewish security training group. “And then once COVID hit I think we lost a lot of that momentum.”
