Programs Associate
Title: Programs Associate
Reports to: Senior Director of Programs
Location: Florida or surrounding states – Work From Home
Background
The Community Security Service (CSS) is the leading organization for training American Jewish volunteers to protect their communities. At CSS, our mission is simple: Protect Jewish Life and Jewish Way of Life. Through our tiered programs and training, volunteers learn to identify threats and proactively safeguard their synagogues, institutions, and events. We have trained over 5,000 volunteers across denominations and regions in the United States on situational awareness and operational security.
Position
CSS is looking for a full-time Associate to support the planning, and delivery of program initiatives. The Associate will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and be able to manage multiple deadlines. We are looking for an individual who shares a passion for our mission.
- Oversee two of the main programs CSS offers nationwide, and their timely execution.
- Manage and support backend and volunteer operations as needed.
- Support other CSS departments operations in responding to requests in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development, planning, and delivery of new programs.
- Maintain success metrics for the programs department.
- Provide support to the programs department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
- 2+ years of relevant experience; background in program management, and working with volunteers preferred.
- Excellent communication and program management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a persistence to see issues resolved.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, oral, and written skills.
- Familiar with Jewish communal organizations and/or Jewish life.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be willing to travel domestically (few times a year).
Other considerations
Must live in the State of Florida or surroundings and be eligible to work in the US. This position is currently work from home, and should be available for occasional evenings and weekends. Travel is expected to be approximately 10%.
